As from 12 December 2009, the Tyler Brown Blues band are no longer on the music circuit. Bob Bawden, the lead singer and frontman felt it was time to move on from the band, take stock and have a rest from the scene.
No doubt all members of the band will be seen in the near future somewhere on the circuit playing with or starting up other bands.
It was really great. The band will be sorely missed.
Admitting to being a fan of Folk and Country music is a risky business when playing in a Blues band, but his years as a musician in those fields has given Bob a depth of experience which he now brings to the Tyler Brown Blues Band. Having been a closet Blues singer since his early teens he has finally returned to his Blues roots. Forgive his misspent youth and there is a bluesman through and through.
The subtle blues harp, provides the backbone to the bands style. Brad, a veteran of this instrument gives his all, from rocking blues to soulful ballads, bringing the influences of all the great blues harp players to the fore.
Dispite his tender years, (not saying how tender) Trist has been around the block a few times with numerous bands, and his experience shows in his playing,...deft fingers...imagination and effortless riffs make his contribution to the band stand out.
Coming from a solid rock background the transition to the Blues genre by Sean has been a bonus. his level of enthusiasm rubs off on the Band and makes every performance a blast!! driving or subtle, the drums sing.
