Yet another brilliant night at the Cellar Bar in Cardigan thanks to the TBBB. This band never fails to deliver, with an ever evolving set that contains their own original material seamlessly combined with Blues/Rock classics. Can you spot the difference? Delivered with the usual high quality performance that singles them out!
Keep on keeping on!

A brilliant and outstanding performance!!! A great night was had by all.
A healthy turnout welcomed the band on stage. We were treated to a lively set of mostly original blues inspired material from Bob and the band, which quickly attracted the audience onto the dance floor.
Musically the Band were extremly tight, and for a band without a bass player managed to deliver a bottom end through the accoustic guitar strong enough to keep the dance floor busy.
The songwriting itself deserves full credit for holding the audiences attention for the duration of their two sets (and several encores) and vocalist Bob has a fine "lived in" voice that perfectly suits the material. An impressive performance. They will be back in 2008!

Independent Release

A Pembrokeshire 4-piece outfit who got some good reviews out of their spot at the recent Tenby Blues Festival. These are becoming a bit sought after beyond the Welsh borders now with mini tours set for 2007 into the West Country and beyond so they are stepping out some. A good following is growing with all this so there is merit here. Guitar and vocal duties fall to the gruff voiced Bob Bawden, we have here a dedicated Blues cross harp man in Brad Morse, guitar by the young Gareth Price who shows some fine moments and on drums Tom Vines. There are six commendable originals here and we lead in with two of them which are the lively and danceable 'Going Down To Texas' and 'Time To Get Outta Here' relating, how someone actually is watching himself and decides he should be doing something else. Covers include JJ Cale's 'Call The Doctor', which starts off with harp strains of 'Summertime' to my ears, lovely stuff, a laid back 'All Along The Watchtower' with harp featuring nicely (no attempt to do a Hendrix thank God) and 'Sweet Home Chicago' which I guess are live favourites and requests. 'Fever' is a great song and the bands' backing to this is subtle and tense maybe live it gets it along with a good chance for the drums to come to the front more powerfully. I prefer their original material where they 'feel' it more; I liked the easy 'Watching The Sun Go Down' and 'Bluesman' which brought the album to a close. A promising first album.

If you love the Blues, you'll love this band. One of the best lead guitarist you will see, always a sell out night when they visit. They are THE Blues Band.
A great band really making a name for themselves,we'll be playing more of their CD 'Long Road' over the coming months, thats for sure.
Tenby Blues Festival over the weekend 10th/12th November 2006 produced some great music for the fans who travelled from all over the UK to see and listen to great acts such as Paul Lamb, Eddie Martin and Michael Roach. However no-one anticipated the impact made on the festival by none other than a local band, dubbed by one club owner from Bristol as Thieves in The Night. Why?? ... because they stole the show on the Friday night, drawing crowds away from the headline bands to pack out The Buccaneer Club, with their great blend of original blues coupled with some of the great standards. updated, yet losing none of the qualities that makes good blues.
So who are they...The Tyler Brown Blues Band. ...that`s who!!! They have been making a name for themselves within west of Wales and knocking on the door of national recognition for some time, and now after this weekend if it doesn`t open for them then there is no justice in the world of music. Many people who could not get into the venue on the Friday because it had reached its limit, stayed on until the Sunday especially to catch The Tyler Brown Blues Band...and lo and behold they were not disappointed. Another great night, with a band who know how to enjoy them selves and make sure that the fans do too.
Much can be said about how good any individual or the band is, but let me tell you this, for superb individual talent, these four guys, blended into one band, will make you realise you will be hard pushed to find better. I understand that they have already secured other Wales and UK dates as a result of this weekend and quite rightly so. Lets hope you can keep them around southwest Wales before they become too popular. If you see the name The Tyler Brown Blues Band playing in your area make sure you go to see them, I kid you not, they are the business. Thanks for a great weekend Tenby.... and thanks to Tyler Brown, you have restored my faith in good honest blues bands!!!!
